The first design for the family house in the Vysočina region, with an area of 335 m2, was created in 2018, and construction was completed in 2024. The original Y-shaped concept evolved into a cleaner, trapezoid version in the shape of the letter I. Due to the sloping terrain, the entrance from the access road is lowered by half a meter, and a retaining wall was built on the opposite side of the house. As a result, the entire house is embedded into the terrain while remaining fully barrier-free. The building is oriented towards the eastern and western cardinal directions.
The exterior is divided into functional zones: the eastern terrace serves as a space for morning seating, the western covered terrace is connected to an outdoor kitchen, a heat pump is located beneath the in-ground pool, and the gently sloping garden with a wall provides space for climbing plants and flower beds. The façade of the house combines Siberian larch and spruce treated with black paint.
In terms of layout, the trapezoid-shaped house is divided into a separate guest apartment, two bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, a living room connected to the kitchen, a yoga room, a covered parking space, and a utility room with a dog shower. The entire house is equipped with concealed underfloor heating. The clean interior colour palette is complemented by custom-designed oak furniture. The interior features lighting by Profilighting, a sofa by Polstrin, chairs by Ton, and outdoor furniture by Egoé. A key requirement from the owners was ample storage space, which was thoroughly incorporated into the design.
